Purple Dimension

I don’t know what a “purple dimension” is, but it came to me instantly while titling the post. The pants do kind of transport one to another dimension, though, because they are sort of psychedelic and vibrant. I wore these with the same belt HERE, and wouldn’t you know they are just that versatile that I can throw on a washed out pale pear colored shirt, some southwest earrings, and different print flats, and call it good. Usually I try to let the pants do all the talking  as they are a statement by themselves, but I couldn’t resist the earrings and leopard shoes to add more visual distraction. Or the stripes and florals from the last time. It’s hard to edit myself when I’m prone to get funky!

IIInnn other news, my posts are getting fewer and farther between. Might be that way this summer, I have much to think about as the weather warms and the activities/responsibilities accumulate, and less motivation or time to get photography/photoshoppy with myself. I said that last time, and the posting laziness has since gotten worse. I also wanted to share my adorable, original paper anniversary gift on here, after HWMNBN opened it and was delighted by it (he was), but then upon my mentioning that I wished to document the gift for the public he exclaimed, “NO, don’t share our anniversary secrets!” Or something to that effect. So I’m not permissed to share my awesome, homemade gift. But my other awesome paper gift for him was a set of light-blocking, paper blinds, for our bedroom. You know, those temporary ones you can get at Home Depot that are life-saving for when you A)have no window treatments in a new house or B) are dying to throw away the previous owner’s bad taste, but aren’t prioritizing new, permanent coverings yet, which would be me. To get the filthy, “mushroom” colored aluminum blinds off the master bedroom windows was a gift to me in itself, so to also achieve some room darkening window features for husband means we both win! The white temporary blinds also look so refreshing and crisp in our newly re-done tv room, and guest bedrooms, of which I will post before and afters. Someday.

He gave me a really cool map of our current residence, a print of a hand drawn one from the 19th century and showing all the streets right in our neighborhood and cute downtown area, and we can pick out where we live. Eventually we’ll get it matted and framed up nicely, to hang in the new tv room. I love maps, and so does he; I would be inclined to fill many of my walls with maps of some sort, framed, painted, wallpapered. Kind of like I would be inclined to paint the rest of the walls in my whole house varying shades of grey because we love grey so much, but all of those ideas would be weird.

I’m going home to see my ailing grandfather this weekend, so hopefully I can eke out one more post before then but clearly my mind is elsewhere. Until next time, faithful readers…
